no oh [ __ ] it is so strong that i can levitate [Music] hmm what up guys my name is phil and welcome to our bucket list channel this intro was actually not true for sure unfortunately but today i want to talk about wim hof breathing methods and wim hof techniques well who is wim hof it's this guy behind me he's also known as the iceman he is well known for overcoming the world records like swimming under the ice or the desert marathon and many other stuff he was able to do that because of his breathing methods and his

01:00

techniques i have discovered wim hof and his techniques due to my girlfriend but also recently from peter's video where he climbs kilimanjaro in 24 hours that's pretty crazy and it is awesome that he was able to do that and he get actually help from wimhoff himself he's in the video also with him he was planning the trip with him and he was able to climb that mountain kilimanjaro in 24 hours only and only because of these breathing methods because without that he would be dead probably and before we knew it we were signing a document stating that if we die this evening the rangers would have no liability for our deaths and we survived thanks to the breathing exercises he has this breathing method

02:00

where you really breathe deeply you will see later and the blood is circulating more you get more oxygen to your blood and you are just feeling better after that and he also has these cold shower techniques which is also really interesting and if you want to find out more what is this all about check wim hof channel because he also has a youtube channel where he explained this to details and there are some breathing techniques breathing videos and much much more you can also check out the purple pop-eaters video in the corner or in the description below i think that those methods are really good and as i've seen what they are capable of to do with the human body i just said that i need to try it by myself but the other reason which is not

03:00

that great is do you remember the video where i was talking about my knee injuries if not you can check it out also in the corner but i went to see a doctor again and it turned out that my lingam and cruciatus is all broken and also my meniscus meniscus meniscus i don't know the pronunciation is also and i will probably need to go on surgery with my knee my brother was also on the surgery and it is not nice there is a really long recovery after that like two months almost so yeah that's really really bad but i'm staying strong and i've decided i need to learn these methods because this will help me to stay mentally healthy also and physically

04:00

healthy it will help me to heal my knee hopefully faster and i can get better recovery and it will just help my body overall so i will be doing these methods the breathing methods and also cold shower every single day and i will be giving you updates on my journey of these wim hof briefing methods and techniques and this video is only one week progress just first feelings but there will be more and more updates along the way but now let's get to first date round number one breathe in breathe out go with the flow of the breath last one pull the end and let go

05:00

all right 30 seconds breath hold from now on exhale in three two one let it go download it's good stuff so the first wim hof briefing exercise is finished and i for great i have to say it was really great and i felt the tingling in my fingers and i feel all the blood coming through my body and i'm i don't know i'm really sweating but uh yeah it was great exercise and for sure i will continue with this method also there is one exercise from wim hof which seems really good for me and he has this breathing method

06:00

which you can do and after that you will double your push-ups so maybe tomorrow we can try this so today as i promised will be the wim hof pusha breathing exercise uh yesterday the breathing exercise was really cool i really felt refreshed and ready for the day and you let it go after the exhalation you stop there you go with your mind just go it's not working i'm out of breath okay so this was not working but i will try but i will try the previous method which i have tried

07:00

yesterday and after that i will try the push-ups and maybe this will work so let's go into it okay now let's start okay so now it's somehow working but i'm not able to hold the breath for that long i would do even more i think i can do like 50 or something like that but i need to train more i can't hold my breath but i don't know why but in the first and second session i was doing some wrong or something because i cannot hold the breath for

08:00

even 30 seconds or something and that was no problem yesterday but last session the third one uh that was okay i hold it for i think it was minute or something like so i think it was great and also in the i was shaking or i could feel my fingers shaking and tingling and i'm sweating i can feel the blood pressure and blood is pumping and everything is good okay so let's continue tomorrow great so i woke up today is friday and i was going to sleep at like 2 00 am or something like that two in the morning so let's get this breathing

09:00

exercise done to get more energy and blood going through my body and warm up because this exercise will really kick you off for the day and you will be ready and full of energy but i'm still not able to hold the breath for the last part i only managed to do the first two parts of breath hold but the last one is really hard and i will be better and better and i can do also the last part after like month or something like that but now i have also something else for you i'm also doing his cold shower everyday challenge so he said first you should get warm water just a little bit and then cold so let's go

10:00

this is great i love it because also it's summer time so it's hot outside and the cold shower is really good last day of the week so the one week of wim hof breathing exercise is done i was doing it from tuesday to tuesday and i forgot there is also one reason why i am doing these breathing exercises and if you look closely to my bucket list there is also

11:00

meditation and we can say that these briefing exercises are some kind of like meditation or something like that we can say you concentrate your mind and you are focusing only on your body and on the moment and meditation is also bit subjective because everyone feels something else under the term of meditation so i think this is at least a good start for the meditation so the progress in the method uh i'm still not able to do the whole beginner video because in the last part i am not able to hold one minute and 30 seconds do you want to prolong your breath hold pause the video now but before that i was not even able to hold 30 seconds without this exercise i am really bad at holding my breath

12:00

so it's really helpful because i'm able to hold for like one minute and 10 seconds but the biggest benefit of that is when you do this exercise after that you feel refreshed ready for the day ready to do everything and it is just so good start for the day you pump your blood you are feeling better i need to say that when you are breathing i don't feel something special or something like that i just concentrate fully on the breathing but when i'm holding the breath i can feel the tingling and the blood coming through my body and oxygen flowing and yeah i just feel this euphoria you just feel this great moment and i really enjoyed it when i hold my breath because i'm fully concentrated on my body but

13:00

this was only one week progress i think after month or after half of the year or even after year there will be bigger progression and i will be giving you the updates how i'm doing with this method and hopefully maybe you can join me on this challenge and you can breathe with me every single day in the morning before your breakfast you will do this exercise i will give you a link for beginners video and also for wim hof channel in the description below or in the cards in the left corner so we can do that together and if you are doing that take me on instagram or somewhere with your progress and with your exercises with just what you're doing with this wim hof method i would love to see that let me know down below in the comments if you are in this challenge

14:00

with me and before the end if you like this content smash that like button this really helps me to grow it really helps the youtube algorithm to push more videos for more viewers and thank you so much for watching and see you guys in the next video [Laughter] i'm just gonna sieve here but

Introduction to Wim Hof

Wim Hof, a Dutch extreme athlete, has captivated audiences with his remarkable ability to withstand extreme cold. His method combines specific breathing techniques with cold exposure, aiming to enhance physical performance and mental clarity. The physiological mechanisms behind these practices are rooted in science, revealing how they can enhance oxygen delivery and improve circulation.

Research indicates that controlled breathing can stimulate the sympathetic nervous system, leading to increased adrenaline levels. This response not only boosts energy but also promotes resilience against stress. For many, exploring the Wim Hof Method is not just about physical endurance; it is a journey toward greater self-awareness and emotional stability.

By consciously engaging in breathwork, individuals can cultivate a state of stillness and clarity, allowing them to approach their day with renewed focus and intention.

Progress and Challenges

While the Wim Hof Method offers numerous benefits, it is important to acknowledge the challenges that may arise during the learning process. The speaker candidly shared his struggles with breath-holding, initially unable to reach even 30 seconds. However, through consistent practice, he found himself able to extend his breath hold to over a minute.

This journey of progress is a testament to the resilience that the Wim Hof Method cultivates. As the speaker reflected, "I think after a month or after half of the year or even after a year, there will be bigger progression."
